Tara Burt was born in Memphis, Tennessee and now resides in Hernando, Mississippi with her husband and two children. Being a predominantly self-taught artist, Tara’s thirst for art knowledge began at a young age when drawing with her Granddaddy Bill.   Painting has been a source of relaxation and comfort throughout her life.  In 2021, she unpacked her paints and brushes to pursue her creative side apart from her Physical Therapy career. 

Tara’s artwork explores the dynamic intersection of vibrant florals and abstract forms, capturing the energy and fluidity of nature through bold color and expressive composition with acrylic, gouache, and oil pastels.  By blending organic shapes and lines, her works aim to evoke emotion and movement, inviting viewers to experience the beauty of both the familiar and the unknown. Each piece is a celebration of color, growth, and transformation, offering a visual escape into a world of vitality and imagination. She paints on both canvas and paper to create a collection of small to larger sized pieces to bring the beauty of nature into your home.
