Founder’s Story

Marcy P. Willis has always been drawn to art, design, and the feeling of a well-lived-in home, with a natural love for creativity and craftsmanship. For ten years, she owned a lifestyle retail store in New Orleans, LA, where her journey as an artist began. It was there that she started painting and selling her own work in a small corner of the shop, while also curating home pieces and developing her eye for interiors that feel layered, personal, and inviting. Customers quickly connected with her style, both in her artwork and in the way she brought everything together.

As her passion for painting grew, so did her commitment to it. Marcy eventually transitioned into being a full-time artist, focusing on creating original work, while continuing to explore her interest in interiors, materials, and the pieces that make a home feel complete.

Along the way, she connected with an incredibly talented community of artists and makers who continually inspired her and helped shape her perspective on both art and design.

After five years of painting full-time, Marcy felt inspired to create a space that brings all of these elements together. That vision became Collected Maison, an online gallery and design destination featuring original artwork alongside a curated mix of interiors and home goods. Every piece is chosen with the idea that it should be lived with, layered in, and collected over time.

Marcy has worked closely with artists and artful brands to build Collected Maison, while continuing to paint from her New Orleans studio. Her work has naturally expanded into interiors as well through sourcing, styling, and creating spaces that feel both thoughtful and personal.
